OUR PROGRAMS

The After School Learning Program is designated for pre K through 5th graders who may be falling behind in school due to social or environmental issues.  This program runs throughout the school year and includes small group tutoring with special emphasis on math and reading, computer-assisted learning, field trips, and guest speakers.

The Summer Program is held at the Women In Unity Center and is divided into two sessions - a 3-week Summer Camp followed by a 3-week Summer Enrichment Camp.  The Summer Camp includes outdoor activities, arts & crafts, and field trips.  The goal of the Summer Enrichment Camp is to prevent children from losing ground academically over the summer, and includes activities similar to those found in the After School Learning Program. Women In Unity's summer hours are from 8:30 am to 2:30pm.  If you would like to register or for more information, please call (803)637-2010.

The Annual Youth Rally is held on the last Saturday in July at the Edgefield Community Soccer Field.  This event is open to all school-aged children and their families and is a day of fun activities culminating in the distribution of school supplies.

The Food Pantry is operated at Women In Unity Center and provides food at no cost to local families and individuals based solely on need.  Supplies for the Food Pantry are either donated or purchased from the Golden Harvest Food Bank in Aiken, South Carolina.
